The unit comprises of a large reservoir of ink (100mls of each colour) that sit outside your printer. Attached to the reservoir is a set of silicone tubes which feed into special cartridges which you use instead of your current cartridges. The printer works exactly the same way but now you have 100mls of each colour rather than 5.6 mls (which is the contents of the colour cartridge).

Even better, when you get low on ink, just pull out the plug on the reservoir and pour in some refill ink.

Best of all you are saving up to 88% compared to the cost of cartridges.

Obviously, the more you print the more you will be saving.

Consider it this way, The Canon CLI-681 colour cartridges have approximately 5.6 mls of usable ink inside while the PGI-680 has around  11.2mls. Canon CLI-681 cartridges retail for around $17 each and the PGI-680 is about $17.00 (prices correct as of March 2020 via officeworks online*)

Rihac CISS is prefilled with 600ml of Rihac ink and is equivalant to approximately 98 Canon cartridges which would cost you about $1,669.64 to purchase seperately.

A Rihac set of replacement inks (6 x 100ml of each colour) would cost you $81 for 600mls of ink. To buy the same amount of Canon cartridges it would cost you over $1,669*. Therefore when refilling your CISS you will save $1,470.64 everytime you refill!!!

Canon have recently changed the methodology of the seals they use between the cartridge and print head. This change greatly effects the reliability when using a continuous ink supply system due to the increased pressure required by a CISS. The rihac R&D Team hav developed an exclusive patented head seal system to solve the issue
Technically speaking, the greater density and plasticity coupled with reduced barreling ensures greater uni-axial compression. In simple terms this means using them makes your system reliable with no issues caused by air and ink leakage.
